Townsend man arrested for stalking neighbor
TOWNSEND -- Robert Hegwood, 52, of Townsend was arrested July 24 for felony stalking after he repeatedly harassed and threatened his neighbor, Delaware State Police said.
Police said Hegwood has been harassing a 61-year-old neighbor for about one year. Police have received multiple reports about him playing loud music, making loud banging noises at the property line and screaming his neighbor’s name while outside.
Hegwood was charged July 23 with terroristic threatening after threatening to shoot the victim, police said. He turned himself in July 24 when he was charged with felony stalking.
He was arraigned and released after posting bail on a $3,000 secured bond while awaiting another court appearance.
